In fact, I'll go through an occasional phase where all I feel like watching are silent films. Compared with those, Gone with the Wind is a downright dazzling technical marvel.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16643574297099103547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6486278711315411608.post-69080738829203349942011-09-02T05:56:51.490-07:002011-09-02T05:56:51.490-07:00A while back I was reading up on the top-grossing ...A while back I was reading up on the top-grossing films of all time, and it was my impression that if ticket prices had remained equal, GWTW would still be the top-grossing film of all time. The problem is they don't track the actual number of tickets sold, so 3D movies w/ extra-high prices (like the garbage that is Avatar) get an unfair advantage, as do all more modern and more expensive movies.

As far as the movie itself, I've never watched it and it's not on my list. Old movies are usually pretty tough for me to get into, with the campy theater-style acting, undynamic camera work, and slower pacing. On the other hand, many of the really new movies go too far the other direction in terms of camera work, especially the big blockbusters (I couldn't figure out what was happening in the chase scenes of the new Bond movies).Full Metal Attorneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04818204892818121018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6486278711315411608.post-61160196903728509532011-08-31T10:15:33.159-07:002011-08-31T10:15:33.159-07:00By the way, if it's not prying to ask, which s...By the way, if it's not prying to ask, which school in Ohio did you attend?Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16643574297099103547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6486278711315411608.post-1184865995732318042011-08-31T00:20:18.960-07:002011-08-31T00:20:18.960-07:00Because there is a type of mentality I've comm...Because there is a type of mentality I've commonly encountered among Ohio natives, and it's quite different from my own.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16643574297099103547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6486278711315411608.post-33898754419066285032011-08-30T22:42:33.633-07:002011-08-30T22:42:33.633-07:00You're right, Gone With The Wind is an epic fi...You're right, Gone With The Wind is an epic film. Now why is it important we know you're not from Ohio. I went to Uni in Ohio, but I'm from Ireland. I loved Ohio.
Cheers,
AnneAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01681799401614263953noreply@blogger.com
